Having Meccano as a child which I kept and added to. Recently I have started building models from my head and pictures.
Here is a sample of this winters building.
The engine is based on a Fowlers Ploughing Engine.
It has a working cable drum.
Driven by electric motor hiden under the drivers footplate. This drives the crankshaft and the 2 piston rods and valve gear mechanisms.
It has variable speed....forward and reverse.
The traction wheels can be engages or disengaged.
The winding drum can also be engaged.
The Thrashing Machine has working beaters, straw walkers, Shaker shoe and fan. Driven via a leather belt from the engine flywheel.
